Common Ground Community Mediation Center--located in Grants Pass--provides free mediation services to residents of Josephine County, Oregon. Our current services primarily include our providing mediations through Small Claims Court, Community (Neighbor-to-Neighbor) Mediations, and in Manufactured Dwelling Communities.

Approach to Practice / Form of Mediation

Common Ground uses Co-Mediation, where two trained mediators work with the two parties in a non-directive approach--helping the parties come to their own mutually agreeable solutions in a safe environment.

Education/Training

Common Ground relies on a cadre of 10 to 15 trained volunteers. Common Ground provides free training to local volunteers in exchange for a specified commitment of volunteer hours. Five-day trainings are provided by Mediation Works in Medford and are held twice per year.

Fee Information

Common Ground does not charge individuals for its services, but as a tax-exempt 501(c)3 agency, we do accept and rely upon individual donations.
