Ambridge Event Center - Portland, OR
Transportation & Parking
For general questions about transportation, or if you either can offer or need a ride to Portland, please contact the OMA office at [email protected] or (503) 872-9775.
Limited Free Parking
The Ambridge Event Center is located at 1333 NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in Portland. The center provides free parking for their guests at several nearby lots. A free lot is located at the corner of NE 3rd Avenue & NE Wasco Street and a second lot offering free parking is located at the corner of NE 2nd Avenue & NE Clackamas Street. Click here for a map indicating locations for free parking for Ambridge Event Center guests.
Please note that the parking lot adjacent to the Ambridge Event Center located at NE 3rd Avenue & NE Clackamas Avenue is very small and will likely fill before 7:30 a.m. each day.
The Ambridge Event Center will have a staff person at the corner of NE 3rd & Clackamas Street at the beginning of the day to help you locate their free parking lots.
If the free parking lots are full and you do not see the Ambridge Event Center attendant outside, you may try calling Ambridge at (503) 239-9921 and ask if there is any other available free parking that day. Sometimes the Ambridge Event Center is able to locate additional free parking spaces at other lots depending on the day.
Paid Parking Options
Street parking is available. However, if your meter runs out, you will likely be ticketed. Some meters require coins and others only accept credit cards.
A pay-to-park lot is located at the corner of NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard & Multnomah Street. The Oregon Convention Center also has a pay to park lot; check in advance how to access the lot and be advised that you will have about a mile walk. Other pay-to-park lots are located in the Lloyd Center area.
Please be advised that there has been some road construction in the vicinity of the Ambridge Event Center that may slow down traffic at times. In addition, construction on the Morrison Bridge is expected to continue through October and may continue throughout early November. As of August 15th, access to the Morrison Bridge from the east side is not available to go downtown, with the exception of access to the I-5 North. If you would normally plan on using that bridge, please check with the City of Portland Transportation Department or your local auto club to find out whether the bridge is open.
The Portland International Airport (PDX) is conveniently located approximately 12 miles from downtown and is serviced by numerous airlines.
